Daimler Work Café

Daimler sought a highly refined design for their executive dining and meeting rooms, and for their work café, shared by the entire building. Inspiration derived from Mercedes Benz rich heritage and detailed craftsmanship, including deep color schemes, leather stitching, and wood treatments, in dialogue with the dynamic architecture of the double height space with skylight, adding greenery, a waterfall, and Chinese elements. The plan took cues from the Mercedes Benz logo, incorporating angular shapes in the ceiling treatments, screens and other elements creating energy and movement. Respect for the nobility of Chinese culture was incorporated, for example, through large graphics of the Forbidden City architectural detail and artistic stone features.
